Thinking of a Domain Name?

Yes yes, it's been awhile since I posted something on this blog. I've been busy and/or distant. A lot has been going on in my life. Either I've paid attention to my Nintendo DS...damn that Animal Crossing game we got into at work! Or, the new company merger that took place with a new promotion for me or the backlog of sites I've promised friends I would do. Whatever.

Maybe I need something different. Maybe another domain name under my belt. I've got more domain names than my family has email addresses. Maybe the use of blog software that I can tweak and add all kinds of plugins into. Possibly Wordpress.

However

I need to think of a domain name. I'm thinking qwik.com, qwikstreet.com, or 3dd13.com (however I'm not 733+ or whatever to pull that off). I guess when I move my hosting server again I'll take the plunge into another domain name. Slide it in next month's renewal of 5 domains.

Wanna trade a Wii for a gaming site?

I'm unloading some of my domains and websites. Mainly because I don't have ample time and focus for the 10 I own and the dozen or so I watch over for friends and family. My main domain that I am looking to trade off was the most profittable venture I've had on the Internet. It was a handheld gaming news/review/preview site called Handheld HQ. When I started the site it was mainly a side progect for a gaming site I wrote for XGP Gaming (now part of Fever Gaming). It was made to show people that we needed to include handheld gaming with console and PC reviews. The old site I had up brought in alot of daily unique traffic and generated enough Google Ad clicks for them to cut me a check a couple of times. I also used the site to peddle out my FREE refferral links. I recieved a Sony PSP, iPod shuffle, and a iPod 60Gb video. Its nice getting a couple hundred dollars of tech toys for free. Not to mention some of the free games I got for my PSP. It's amazing on who wants you to review their products. The main people that sent me stuff was Rockstar Games (oh yea free GTA) and Electronic Arts. I've been sent N-Gage games as well, but who has a use or want for N-Gage.

I was thinking of selling my domain on a domain reseller page but I'm too lazy and didn't want to deal with escrow accounts. So, instead I want to pass it own to whomever. I'm looking to trade it off for a new Nintendo Wii and some Wii gear. The domain was just reregistered and I'm willing to renew it for the next owner for up to 10yrs (depending on the trade offer). I'll even throw in free hosting for the remainder of the year on one of my reseller web servers I run stuff off of.

Interested? Email me at qwikstreet"at"gmail.com.

Recently Bought a Nintendo DS Lite

I have had the Sony PSP since day one when it launched. I was the first one in my group of friends and co-workers who got one. I was getting the early jump on them in this gadget. Almost two years later and I am still the only one. Oh well. I had some fun playing some semi-decent games. And who needs local friends when I can play online...oh wait. Not that many titles out there that interested me. I like shooters but not that much. All my friends were getting their DS on with Nintendo and a few already got their Wii before me. So, while waiting for my chance to pick up a Wii I bought an onyx ds lite. Its a sleek little gaming device with alot of fun packed in. I've owned the thing for almost 2 weeks now and I've already have more online time then the whole time I had my PSP. My friends and I do a lot of Mario Kart over Wifi and also locally during lunch breaks at work. I've picked up quite a few games since buying this little handheld and have my eyes locked on a few more.

Mario Kart DS
Tetris DS
Polarium
True Swing Golf
Metroid Pinball
Advance Wars DS
New Super Mario Bros.

Soon:
Metroid Prime Hunters
Clubhouse Games
Final Fantasy III

I don't know what I will buy for my PSP. I don't think it has even been turned on yet since buying the DS. I should fire it up soon and finish Vice City.

Discraft Ace Race 2006

This past weekend I along with 58 other discers participated in a Discraft Ace Race event at Hickory Run. This was a great turnout for the Bearclaws and many thanks to Mike Solt who made it all happen. I had a few close shots that almost hit the basket. My buddy nailed the basket on the first throw of the day, all thanks to a lucky bounce off a tree. There were only two people who actually hit an ace. One person had more basket hits so he walked away with the $300 prize package. Hopefully this will become an annual event for the Bearclaws or maybe get an Ace Race at one of the Lehigh Valley courses and rotate each year.

Anyone who participated in one of the ace races should fill out this survay. You could win further prizes from Discraft.

After the event there was random doubles which I performed horribly. So did my partner. I think I bring everybody down. My buddy who made the trip with me came in third and split $30. Good for him, he was able to pay the tolls on the turnpike.

Next event for the Bearclaws is the Prehibernation Doubles.
